There has been a decline in the Indian smartphone market. According to the IDC report, there has been a decline in Indian smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2025. In this quarter, all the companies have shipped 32 million units. Talking year-on-year, this decline is 5.5 percent.

This is the second consecutive quarter of decline. Compared to last year, the company has registered 23 percent growth in this quarter. With this, the brand has joined the top 5.

Decline in Indian smartphone phone market

Due to this, companies have faced challenges in Q1 2025. The report also states that launches have also decreased in the first two months of this year.

Biggest decline in Xiaomi-OnePlus

Samsung is in second place with 16.4 percent share. The company's market share has fallen by 0.6 percent compared to last year. It is followed by Oppo, Realme and Apple, which are in third, fourth and fifth positions. Nothing has achieved the highest growth in the first quarter of 2025.

Talking about year-on-year growth, Apple has benefited the most this quarter. The brand has shipped about 3 million units this quarter. iPhone 16 is the most shipped model. In the first quarter, the average selling price in the Indian smartphone market has reached $274 (about Rs 23,300).

This quarter, Xiaomi's market share has fallen by 42 percent compared to last year to 7.8 percent. At the same time, OnePlus's market share has seen the biggest decline.
