The heart of this gripping series will be Tamannaah, who will be gearing up to portray the character of the lead investigating officer. With each role she undertakes, the Jailer actress tends to breathe life into her characters, and Aakhri Sach is no exception, and it is the first time ever she will be donning a uniform in her illustrious acting journey. Tamannaah stated, “When Aakhri Sach came to me, it was a story that immediately shook my very core. This character is very special to me - firstly because it’s the first time ever I am playing a police officer in a long format, and secondly, the emotional vulnerability of Anya that Aakhri Sach displays is like none other. Playing this sharp and fierce cop, really pushed me to embrace all the discomfort and perceptions that came with it and overcome them. I am glad to be a part of this story and take this to the world with Disney+ Hotstar!”
Aakhri Sach will only be available on Disney+ Hotstar. A Nirvikar Films' production and directed by Robbie Grewal, the series is written by Saurav Dey. The actress will be sharing the screen space with acclaimed actors Abhishek Banerjee, Shivin Narang, Danish Iqbal, Nishu Dikshit, Kriti Vij, and Sanjeev Chopra. Apart from Aakhri Sach, Jailer, and Bholaa Shankar, the actress has a line-up of interesting projects in the pipeline: Bandra in Malayalam, Aranamanai 4 in Tamil, and ‘Vedaa’ in Hindi with John Abraham.
