To assist blind people, an Indore restaurant has begun offering Braille menus.
Braille menus have been introduced by a restaurant in Indore to accommodate its patrons who are blind. On September 2, the Gurkripa restaurant released the menus.

The restaurant welcomed visually impaired kids from the NGO Mahesh Drishtihin Kalyan Sangh on the opening day. They placed orders with assurance using Braille menus.
Inspired by the Young Indians Group
The programme was led by the Confederation of Indian Industry's NGO Young Indians Group. This project was motivated by their conversations with restaurant owners.
A visually challenged children from Mahesh Drishtihin Kalyan Sangh have been invited to receive treatment at this eatery.
Menu cards in Braille writing were available for them at the restaurant. These cards written in Braille will be available to blind customers starting today in this restaurant.
Bought especially from Chandigarh
This card in Braille writing was purchased specifically from Chandigarh. Ten of these cards will be delivered to additional restaurants. All of these eateries have agreed to have menu cards written in Braille, she continued.
The Young Indians Group called us and requested that we create menu cards in Braille writing, said Gurkripa restaurant owner Simran Bhatia Sharma. They had a great feeling about this.
Such a facility wasn't present before. They also never gave this any thought. All seven of our restaurants will participate in this project when it begins. They were delighted to see children place orders today by reading the Braille menu card. This campaign ought to be started by every restaurant owner.
Helped blind people feel more independent
Raksha Jogi visited the eatery and reported on her experience. She said, Today they came here and read the Braille menu card and ordered their food.
They believed they were independent of other people. In the past, when they went to a restaurant, members of their family would read the menu card to them so they could place their order.
They placed their own meal orders today. Every town and city should have menu cards like this one with Braille writing.
Feeling of Pride
Class 12 student Anatibala Porwal voiced a similar reaction, claiming they had never felt so proud of themselves. They didn't expect this. They choose their own meal today after reading the menu. This type of help ought to be available to everyone who is blind or visually impaired.
