Batting first, Gujarat posted a total of 210 runs, powered by half-centuries from Gill, Sundar, and Buttler. In response, the Delhi team could only manage to score 209 runs.

Chasing a target of 211 runs, Delhi got off to a magnificent start. Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul provided an explosive opening. The duo shared a partnership of 76 runs. Nissanka's wicket fell in the 9th over; he had scored 41 runs. However, KL Rahul did not slow down after that. He continued to score runs aggressively and smashed a blistering half-century.

Delhi suffered their second blow in the 10th over when Nitish Rana was dismissed. Immediately thereafter, Rashid dismissed Sameer Rizvi on the very next delivery. Sameer Rizvi failed to even open his account. Yet, KL Rahul remained undeterred; he held one end firmly and continued to score runs at a rapid pace. However, in the 17th over, Siraj claimed the crucial wicket of KL Rahul. KL Rahul contributed 92 runs with his bat, an innings that featured 11 fours and 4 sixes.
Following KL Rahul's dismissal, David Miller took charge of the innings and smashed 41 runs off just 20 deliveries. However, he could not lead the team to victory, and Gujarat won the match by a margin of one run.

Thrill of the Final Two Overs
In the final two overs, Delhi required 36 runs to win. Siraj came on to bowl the 19th over; Miller took him to task, smashing 23 runs off it. Heading into the final over, Delhi needed just 13 runs for victory. Prasidh Krishna, however, successfully defended the target. On the very last ball, Delhi needed 2 runs; but Kuldeep was run out, and Gujarat clinched the match.
