PM Modi calls for citizen centric governance at Karmayogi Sadhana Sapta 2026, stresses skilled workforce and improved quality of life.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday emphasised that India’s rapidly changing aspirations demand a governance model that is efficient and citizen centric. He made the remarks in a video message while addressing the Karmayogi Sadhana Sapta 2026.
He said governance today is guided by the mantra ‘Nagrik Devo Bhava’, with a focus on making public service more capable, sensitive, and citizen centric.
Mr Modi said the Capacity Building Commission and Mission Karmayogi are key to creating a modern and responsive workforce aligned with the aspirations of citizens.
He said a developed India will be built not just on infrastructure and technology, but on a skilled and committed human resource. He added that improving ease of living and quality of life should remain the primary focus of governance.
The Prime Minister said the strength of a nation lies in the capability of its institutions, and strengthening that capability is the government’s priority.
He said the government aims to build a responsive, modern, and accountable public service that empowers every citizen.
Mr Modi added that every Indian citizen carries aspirations and it is the responsibility of the government to ensure governance acts as a facilitator of those aspirations.
