Swaminarayan Akshardham: In a landmark spiritual moment, a 108-foot-tall murti of Neelkanth Varni has been consecrated at Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi. Representing the youthful ascetic form of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, the murti depicts Neelkanth Varni in deep meditation, standing on one leg—symbolizing devotion, renunciation, and his extraordinary seven-year spiritual journey across India at the age of 11.

The Murti Pratishtha Mahotsav was conducted with devotion and grandeur under the guidance and presence of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj. The Vedic rituals and ceremonies witnessed participation from thousands of devotees across the world, marking a spiritually significant occasion.
The sacred atmosphere of the MurtiPratishtha Mahotsav was filled with deep devotion and spiritual fervour as thousands of devotees began arriving from the early hours of the morning. Men, women, and children, dressed in traditional attire, gathered in large numbers, their faces glowing with faith and excitement.
The entire Akshardham campusresonated with bhajans, Vedic chants, and the collective prayers of the devotees.
At 6:00 a.m., the auspicious rituals for the Pratishtha of NilkanthVarni commenced. The ceremony unfolded with precise Vedic rites, performed with great faithand adherence to ancient Vedic traditions. 300 sadhus from across India and around the world graced the occasion, adding a divine presence to the event. Their disciplined participation and spiritual aura elevated the sanctity of the celebration.
Devotees stood with folded hands, many absorbed in prayer, while others watched the sacred proceedings with reverence and emotion. The air was filled with the fragrance of flowers and incense, and every moment reflected a deep connection with the divine.

Grand Celebrations and Devotee Participation
The Mahotsav, held on March 25 and 26, featured sacred yagnas, devotional assemblies, and the Murti Pratishtha ceremony.
On March 25, a global peace yagna was conducted in the presence of Mahant Swami Maharaj, with thousands of devotees participating.
On March 26, the main consecration ceremony was performed by HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, marked by the ceremonial application of a sacred tilak at a height of 108 feet.
The presence of Mahant Swami Maharaj elevated the spiritual atmosphere of the event. Devotees received his blessings and guidance, making the occasion deeply enriching.
HH Mahant Swami Maharaj said after the consecration, “This is the most beautiful murti. It will spread peace throughout the world. Whoever comes here for the darshan of NilkanthVarni will imbibe universal virtues and attain liberation. This murti will also fulfil the heartfelt wishes of devotees.”
The ceremony was meticulously organized by Sadhus, volunteers and devotees, reflecting a strong spirit of selfless service. From managing large crowds to coordinating rituals and hospitality, thousands contributed to the successful execution of the event.
