The Special Task Force in Uttar Pradesh arrested two people accused of threatening to blow up Ram Mandir and kill the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath.

The newly constructed Ram Mandir is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 22 after the grand Pran Pratistha Ceremony of the Idol of Lord Ram. The followers of Sanatan Dharm have been waiting for decades for this auspicious day when their Shri Ram will finally be placed on the Grab Griha of the temple in all its glory.

Threat to blow up Ram Mandir

Thousands of people are expected to witness the Ram Mandir Inauguration on January 22. Authorities have been making security arrangements for the day.

Special task forces on December 27 received information from the DGP Headquarters that they received a threat about blowing up Ram Mandir and killing the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath. The STF said "On December 27, 2023, the Control Room of STF Headquarters was informed by DGP Headquarters that a threat was received to kill Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and blow up the Ram temple in Ayodhya in a post on 'X' using the handle @iDevendraOffice. In the tweet, it was mentioned that Zubair Khan of the ISI organization had given the threat in a mail."

The police further lodged an FIR and arrested Tahar Singh and Prakash Mishra who created email IDs with the name lamansarikhan608@gmail.com and Zubairkhanisi199@gmail.com and sent the emails.  The police lodged the FIR in Alambagh police station, Lucknow, and Sushant Golf City police station.

Prakash Kumar Shukla, DSP, STF, Uttar Pradesh supervised the investigation on the instructions of a senior officer. The investigation further revealed that both the accused were working on the commands of Devendra Tiwari. STF further said "Devendra Tiwari has a college in the name of Indian Institute Para Medical Sciences at Alambagh. They have set up their office in the same college, in which Tahar Singh is working as social media handler and Om Prakash Mishra is working as the personal secretary and Om Prakash is also doing 2 years Diploma in Optometry from the same college."

Tiwari also ran an NGO in the name of Bhartiya Kisan Manch and Bharitya Gau Seva Parishad and had many cases registered in his name in the Ashiana, Banthara, Gautampalli, and Alambagh area in the capital.

The motive

"Mobile phones were purchased, which were used to send threat e-mails. The threat content present in the mobile phone was scanned with the Google lens of the mobile phone used to send the threat mail. The mail was sent on the dates November 19, 2023 and December 27, 2023, to his mail ID by copying and pasting which was sent to Devendra Tiwar" said STF in the press release.  It further said “The threat messages were sent on November 19 and December 27, and Devendra Tewari shared the messages from his Twitter (X) account."

Tiwari gave both the arrested men hope for political gain. After sending the email, Tiwari burned the Mobiles used for sending emails. The police tracked the wifi used for sending the email which led to Devendra's office. The police registered a case under sections 506, 507, 153A, 420, 468, 471, 201, 120B IPC and 66D-IT Act.
