UAE dispatches humanitarian aid to earthquake struck Afghanistan
The United Arab Emirates has sent help to earthquake shaken country Afghanistan. Afghanistan has been shaken by 2 disastrous earthquake in the past few days.
The aid by UAE is aimed to provide relief to hundreds and thousands of women, children and elders who are left helpless due to the destruction caused by earthquake.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan gave directions about aid to be dispatched to the country.
On October 13, Friday, the government of UAE sent a number of relief planes carrying humanitarian aids consisting food, medical supplies and in-kind meetings.
Many other relief institutions have also contributed to the aid so as to provide support to those in need.
This relief provided by the middle-eastern country is one of the policy of the nation to extend relief to such countries which are hit by disaster.
Afghanistan Disaster
World Food Programme on October 12 said that the Afghanistan disaster is a "disaster on top of disaster". On October 7, an earthquake of 6.3 magnitude hit the country and another earthquake shook the country Wednesday of the same magnitude. the earthquake killed 2400 people and brought many other thousands on streets are their houses collapsed.
