Ujjain rape case: Minor under trauma, accused tried to run
The accused of the Ujjain rape case tried to run away after coming through an opportunity but was caught by the police . This led to a skirmish between the police and the accused leading to injuries on both sides.
As per reports, the accused Bharat Soni was been taken to the crime scene for recreating crime scene to get evidence. During this time, he tried to make a move to run away. The accused is identified as an auto driver.
He was arrested on September 29, Thursday. According to police, necessary action is being taken by the police. SP Sharma said "In the process of recreating the crime scene, the accused, Bharat Soni, tried to run away. This led to a physical altercation during which he sustained injuries, and some of our police officials also got injured,". “Necessary action is being taken in the case.”
The police arrested the autorickshaw driver after they found video footage and blood stains on the passenger seat of the auto.
The victim is said to a 15 year old minor girl, who was studying in eight grade. She was found bleeding in the streets of Ujjain and begged for help for hours. She girl walked 8 kms to ask for help. A priest of a ashram helped the girl and called the police after which she was taken to hospital.
The condition of minor is stable as of now but she has suffered severe trauma and not able to come to her senses in full capacity. Her mental health has been suffered the most. The girl lost a lot of blood and suffered injuries.
As per media reports, the girl ran away from her house in Satana to get a better life. The minor lived with grandfather, father and a brother. Her grandfather reported he missing with the police. The financial conditions of the family of the victim was not good. The mother of the girl ran away ten years ago, leaving the girl without her mother.
According to reports, the girl was uttering words remembering her mother even when she was gaining consciousness. The girl also uttered about running away for a better life.
The police of Satna identified the girl after the viral video on the basis of complaint registered by the grandfather. The grandfather also identified her. The police officer contacted the police of Ujjain and informed them about the identity of the girl.
The girl was sexually harassed on Sunday evening and her grandfather reported her missing on Monday.
On September 28, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said to media fraternity that the accused of the crime has been caught and strict actions will be taken. The government will take care of the minor girl in every way possible.
