Under the direction of Police Commissioner Gautam Buddh Nagar, Smt. Lakshmi Singh, an informative and training lecture program was organized for newly recruited constables at the Gautam Buddh Nagar. Also Read: Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh’s humanitarian initiative for duty police personnel amid winter season In the program, Dr. Priyanka Singh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology, and Dr. Vishwaprakash, Head of the Department of Forensic Science, both from Amity University, delivered detailed lectures to the newly recruited constables on important subjects such as criminology and forensic science. The topics were presented in a simple and effective manner using PowerPoint presentations during the program.
In the lecture, the experts elaborated on the definition of criminology, its main principles, the mindset, behavior, and conduct of criminals, and measures for their rehabilitation. Practical knowledge was also imparted through examples of various case laws. Under the topic of forensic science, detailed information was provided on crime scene reconstruction, the process of collecting scientific evidence in a safe and legal manner, its proper packaging, dispatch for testing, and the importance of the evidence. The objective of this session was to familiarize the newly recruited constables with adopting a scientific approach at the crime scene and the intricacies of evidence collection.
During the program, DCP Lines Shri Shailendra Singh, Reserve Inspector First Shri Suresh Rai, along with other officers from the Police Lines and all the newly recruited constables, were present.
