UP Teacher Recruitment: In the Supreme Court hearing the petition related to the 69,000 teacher recruitment case in Uttar Pradesh and stayed the order of the Allahabad High Court. The Chief Justice (CJI) said that the decision of the High Court will remain suspended for the time being and the next hearing will be held on 25 September.

The Chief Justice has suspended the order issued by the High Court last month and fixed the date of next hearing on September 25. The court said that time is needed for a thorough review of the High Court's decision. The Supreme Court asked both the parties to submit their written arguments in maximum 7 pages each. The court appointed 2 nodal lawyers for this. The state government was also asked to file a reply on the hole matter related to the future of the teacher in Uttar Pradesh.

While Allahabad High Court had canceled the selection lists of June 2020 and January 2022 and directed the Uttar Pradesh government to issue a new selection list within three months on the basis of the Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination of 2019.
