Six people were killed, and 100 others were injured in this incident. In 'Match Fixing', this incident has been made an important part of the story, which will try to explain to the audience that terrorist activities are not just an ordinary incident, but there are deep political games behind it.

Many important persons were made accused in the Malegaon blast case. These include Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, who is currently a BJP MP, and Lieutenant Colonel Shrikant Purohit.

All of them faced trial under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Explosive Substances Act, Indian Arms Act, and Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA).
