A wedding in Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa was called off at the last minute after the groom’s family left the venue citing inadequate facilities, police said.
The incident took place on March 28 in Pullampeta mandal. The groom, identified as Suleman, had arrived at the wedding hall with his relatives for the ceremony.
According to reports, the groom’s family raised objections over the arrangements at the venue, stating that proper facilities were not available. The issue led to an argument between both families.
The bride’s family requested the groom’s side to proceed with the wedding, but they refused.
After some time, the groom’s family left the wedding hall, saying they would return. However, they did not come back, forcing the families to call off the wedding.
Following the incident, the bride’s father filed a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against the groom and several others.
Police said the matter is under investigation.
The incident has triggered local discussion over the reasons behind the sudden cancellation and the conduct of the groom’s family.
