According to several sources, Parag Desai, the Executive Director of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group, who owns the Wagh Bakri tea brand, died at 49. Vidisha, his wife, and their daughter Parisha survive him.

Parag Desai collapsed outside his home on October 15 while attempting to flee street dogs who had attacked him, according to the Ahmedabad Mirror.

Desai was brought to the neighbouring Shelby Hospital for treatment after a security officer informed the family of the event. After a day of observation, he was sent to Zydus Hospital for operation, according to reports.

According to The Times of India, Desai died on October 22 at a private hospital in Ahmedabad after being on a ventilator for seven days.

His final rites were performed at the Thaltej cremation at 9 a.m. today, according to the AM report.

Desai, who has been in business for almost 30 years, was in charge of the company's sales, marketing, and export departments. The company's revenue exceeds Rs. 1500 crore.
