Delhi and Surrounding Areas
In Delhi, expect a generally cloudy sky with light rain and thunderstorms. The yellow alert in the National Capital is in place today. The weather is likely to be wet until September 9. Temperatures in Delhi are expected to range from a high of around 33°C to a low of about 24°C.
Mumbai and Western India
In Mumbai, moderate rain is expected today, with wet weather likely to continue until September 11. The temperature in Mumbai will range from a high of around 30°C to a low of about 26°C.
The IMD predicts widespread light to moderate rainfall in West India and Chhattisgarh, and scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rain in Central India. This weather pattern is expected to persist until September 12.
South Peninsular India
Heavy rainfall is expected in isolated areas of Kerala & Mahe from September 8-11 and in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam from September 6-8. Telangana will see heavy rain until September 8, while Karnataka can expect heavy rain until September 9.
East and Northeast India
In the Northeast, very heavy rainfall is forecasted for Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on September 11. Assam and Meghalaya will experience very heavy rain on September 7. Odisha will see heavy rainfall over the next two days.
In Uttarakhand, isolated very heavy rainfall is expected today, with heavy rain continuing in Rajasthan until September 7 and in Uttarakhand until September 7. Uttar Pradesh will also experience heavy rain today.
