On the day when the Union Finance Minister is presenting the Annual Budget at parliament, apart from the other budgets introduced and reintroduced, there are some special schemes and plans especially for the women in the country. lets know them and what are benefits a woman would get after the implementation of those schemes.

Finance Minister announced Mahila Samman Bachat Patra- a one-time new small savings scheme – for a two-year period up to March 2025. This initiative will avail a deposit facility for a woman up to two lakhs for a two-year period at a fixed interest rate of 7.5% with a partial withdrawal option. The scheme offered has the maximum amount to be deposited is 2 lakhs.
 This is being launched by the government to commemorate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Finance Minister further enhanced the maximum deposit level of Senior Citizens’ Saving Scheme from 15 lakh to 30 lakh. She also announced enhancing the maximum deposit limit for Monthly Income Accounts Scheme from 4.5 lahks to 9 lahks for single accounts, and 9 lakh to 15 lakh for joint accounts.

She further said that the government would also promote general artisans by providing the required amount of financial assistance, skill training modern green technologies and further contacts from local and global market in order to increase their sales.
