And so is the new innovative theme brought up by Gujarat for its tableau for this year’s Republic Day. “Clean-Green, Energy-Efficient Gujarat” is the theme for Gujarat’s tableau for this year’s Republic Day parade to be held in New Delhi. The National Parade at Kartavya Path, Gujarat will give a message to the people of India as well as the world to become self-reliant by generating green energy using renewable resources.
The front of the tableau portrays the upcoming renewable energy park in Khavada, Kutch symbolized by a woman in traditional Kutchi attire holding the sun and wind. The back part portrays the Sun Temple of Modhera, which has become India’s first 24×7 solar-powered village.  
Along with it, the scheme Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahaabhiyan (KUSUM) which benefits farmers through solar rooftops for irrigation purposes has also been showcased. Thus, Self-reliance in the energy sector has been given significance.
