The anticipation for the ICC World Cup 2023 in India gained momentum as the International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the tournament's anthem, 'Dil Jashn Bole.' However, the anthem garnered mixed reactions on social media. Shortly thereafter, Adidas, India's kit partner, added to the excitement by releasing their own anthem for the Indian cricket team, titled "Impossible Nahi Ye Sapna, 3 Ka Dream Hai Apna."

The 2-minute 21-second Adidas anthem taps into India's aspirations to clinch their third ODI World Cup. India's cricket journey in the ODI format began with Kapil Dev leading them to their maiden World Cup title in 1983. MS Dhoni later ended a prolonged wait with India's second ODI World Cup victory in 2011, with another World Cup triumph in 2007, albeit in the T20 format.

The Adidas anthem features prominent Indian cricketers such as India's captain Rohit Sharma, superstar Virat Kohli, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, young talent Shubman Gill, pacers Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

The anthem's message, "1983 - the spark. 2011 - the glory. 2023 - the dream. Impossible nahi yeh sapna, #3kaDream hai apna," resonated with fans.

One significant change in the video was the alteration to India's World Cup jersey compared to the recently concluded Asia Cup. The three white stripes over the shoulder were replaced by India's tri-colour, featuring orange, white, and green stripes. The move received widespread acclaim, with fans considering it a masterstroke.

Additionally, India's World Cup jersey will see another modification as the Dream 11 logo will not feature during the tournament. The ICC regulations only allow the team's name in the center of the jersey.

Despite not securing an ICC title since the Champions Trophy in 2013, India is regarded as one of the favorites for the ODI World Cup. This is attributed to their strong squad, recent form, and familiarity with home conditions. India's preparations received a boost when they clinched the Asia Cup for a record-extending eighth time.

India, a two-time ODI World Cup champion, will commence their campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. The tournament opener will feature England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad, a rematch of the final from the previous edition.
