Worker's Life Lost While Cleaning Septic Tank in Uttar Pradesh

A tragic incident unfolded in Uttar Pradesh's Modinagar as a 20-year-old sanitation worker lost his life due to allegedly inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning a septic tank at a sugar mill.

The worker, Sagar, along with Raman, another worker, became unconscious during the tank cleaning process. Sagar could not be revived and passed away while Raman remains under medical care.

Contractor Rohit had employed six workers for the task but reportedly did not provide them with proper safety equipment. As a result, an FIR was filed against Rohit for negligence. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Gyan Prakash Rai, stated that an investigation is underway.

Sagar's family and local residents protested at the hospital, demanding action against the contractor. The demonstration concluded after senior officers assured them of appropriate action.
