Emergency alert in Air India flight that took off from Mumbai, signal sent while landing in London
Emergency alert signal has been send from Air India flight from Mumbai to London not able to land. All though, the reasons for this could not be known yet. Meanwhile flight no AI129 7700 is circling on the outskirts of London for some time.

Even though an emergency alert message has been given due to the Air India flight from Mumbai to London not landing. However, the reasons for this could reveled. Due to delay in landing at the airport Air India flight AI129 7700 was circling on the outskirts of London.

While the flight tracker, flightradar24 reported that the Air India flight has sent an emergency signal while flying over London, although the reason why the emergency signal was sent is not yet known.
Such squawk codes (emergency alerts) are often heard during emergency situations, such as emergency landing etc. Squawk codes are used by Air Traffic Control (ATC) to identify and track aircraft in flight.
These squawk codes are usually 4 digits long, ranging from 0000 to 7777. Some of these codes are fixed and displayed in specific situations, while others are displayed by ATC.

ATC creates squawk codes for aircraft when the aircraft enters its range, then sends a message to the pilot to allow entry into the aircraft's transponder. The transponder then sends it back to ATC.
Air India flight AIC129 had squawk code 7500, which is an emergency transponder code indicating that the aircraft was in danger and needed immediate assistance from ATC and other safety measures.
