Explosion in Kabul capital of Afghanistan, Taliban minister Rahman Haqqani killed
Khalilur Rahman Haqqani, the Taliban's migration minister and uncle of Taliban's interior minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, has been killed in an explosion in Kabul. Afghanistan's local media Tolo News has given this information. According to media information, Khalilur Rahman Haqqani, minister of refugee affairs and migration in the Taliban government, died in an explosion inside the ministry today. According to sources, many other people have also lost their lives in this incident.
Explosion in the ministry
According to news agency, an official said on condition of anonymity that an explosion took place at the Ministry of Refugees in Kabul on Wednesday and Minister Khalilur Rahman Haqqani had been killed along with some of his followers. He was also the uncle of current Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.
US had placed a bounty of $ 5 million
Khalilur Rahman Haqqani's name was also included in the UN sanctions list. The US had placed a bounty of $ 5 million on Haqqani for terrorist activities. After the Taliban took over Afghanistan in 2021, Haqqani was tasked with overseeing Kabul's security before assuming the ministerial post.
