PM Modi: The PM Modi has been reached Vadodara as part of his Gujarat tour. And Spain's President Pedro Sanchez arrived in Vadodara, Gujarat on today morning on a three-day visit. Here On the visit of the Spanish President to India, the Ministry of External Affairs of India, shared a post on the social media platform X and congratulated him, writing 'Welcome to India'.

Inaugurated aircraft manufacturing plant in Vadodara

In the meanwhile, Ministry of External Affairs said, 'President of the Spanish Government Pedro Sanchez arrived in Vadodara, which is the first visit of a Spanish President to India in 18 years. This official visit is important to take India-Spain relations to new heights.' Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri welcomed President Sanchez at Vadodara International Airport.

Spanish President Sanchez today inaugurated the final assembly line plant of C295 aircraft in Vadodara along with Prime Minister Modi, which is a major initiative under the 'Make in India' campaign in the aviation sector. This plant has been set up by Tata Advanced Systems in collaboration with Airbus Spain.

Spanish President will also visit Mumbai

While the city has been decorated with beautiful lights for the visit of the President of Spain to Vadodara. This is President Sanchez's first visit to India, which is taking place after 18 years. President Sanchez will also visit Mumbai, where apart from official programs, he will interact with business and industry leaders, think tanks and people associated with the film industry.

The Spanish President will also visit major film studios, where he will interact with prominent personalities of the Indian film industry, to promote cooperation between the Indian and Spanish media and entertainment industry.

Several agreements are expected to be signed between the two countries during Pedro Sanchez's visit to India.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that President Sanchez's visit will be an opportunity to review our bilateral relations and further deepen partnership in various sectors including trade and investment, IT, innovation, infrastructure, renewable energy, defense and security, pharma, agri-tech and biotechnology, culture and tourism.

PM Modi's road show with the Spain President

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a road show with Spanish President Pedro Sanchez in Vadodara. Both the leaders will inaugurate Tata's C295 aircraft manufacturing plant shortly. Tata has built this plant in collaboration with Spain.

Inauguration of TASL plant

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of the Spanish Government Pedro Sanchez jointly inaugurated the Tata Aircraft Complex for the manufacture of C-295 aircraft at the Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) campus in Vadodara.

Plant will create jobs, engineers will be trained in high technology

Spain President Pedro Sanchez, while addressing the program after the inauguration of the TASL plant, said that 'If Indian companies want to move forward, believe me, they can rely on Spain. In 2026, the first C295 manufactured in India will be built at this plant in Vadodara. This aircraft is a symbol of the Spanish and European aeronautical industry. Apart from contributing to the modernization of India's defense capabilities, it will also promote technological development, especially for the state of Gujarat, which is a major manufacturing hub of India.  I come from a country where 99% of the companies are large, small and medium enterprises

The Spanish President said that 'In the late 1960s, the talented Paco de Lucia and the great Indian musician Ravi Shankar brought our two countries closer through music. Together they managed to blend the spirituality of Flamengo and Indian classical music, the Spanish guitar, the sitar. Perhaps they did not know it then, but they were building a bridge between cultures that opened the way to the future.

A future that is the face of such a project. This plant will be a symbol of industrial excellence, an engine of growth and a proof of close and growing friendship.'

At the inauguration of the Tata Aircraft Complex for the manufacture of C-295 aircraft, PM Narendra Modi said, 'This is the first visit of my friend Pedro Sanchez to India. From today we are giving a new direction to the partnership of India and Spain

PM remembers Ratan Tata

During this time, Prime Minister also remembered Ratan Tata, who was a leading industrialist of the country He said, 'Recently we lost the great son of the country, Ratan Tata ji. If he were among us today, he would have been happy, but wherever his soul is, it will be happy.

When I was the CM of Gujarat, a decision was taken to set up a factory to manufacture train coaches in Vadodara. The factory was also made ready for production in record time. Today we are exporting metro coaches made in that factory to other countries. I am confident that in future, aircraft made in this factory will also be exported to other countries.'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, 'Today the defense manufacturing ecosystem in India is touching new heights. . At that time no one could have imagined that defense manufacturing could take place on such a large scale in India. But we decided to walk on a new path, set a new goal for ourselves. And today the result is in front of us.

We expanded private sector participation in defence manufacturing, made the public sector efficient, transformed ordnance factories into seven large companies, strengthened DRDO and HAL, built two major defence corridors in UP and Tamil Nadu.

Working to make India an aviation hub'

Although, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, 'You all have seen unprecedented growth and transformation in India's aviation sector in the last decade. We are working to make India an aviation hub.
