In a significant milestone for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government, Uttar Pradesh has ascended to become the second-largest economy in India, marking a remarkable achievement in the state's economic trajectory.

A recent report from the reputable online blogging platform soic.in, specializing in tracking investments and the stock market, underscores Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's endeavors to position Uttar Pradesh as the leading state in terms of economic prowess. According to the report, UP has secured the second-largest GDP share in the country, following Maharashtra.

The report, presented in visually engaging graphics, draws insights from Sensex and CSLA (Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia) data. Official statistics had previously ranked Uttar Pradesh third in GDP share, but the recent advancement has set the stage for the Yogi government to strive for the top position in the nation's economy.

A creative depiction shared on the social media platform X illustrates Uttar Pradesh clinching the second position in terms of GDP share. Maharashtra maintains its lead with a 15.7 percent GDP share, while Uttar Pradesh closely follows with an impressive 9.2 percent.

Uttar Pradesh's economic surge has outpaced other states in terms of GDP share, surpassing the likes of Tamil Nadu (9.1 percent), Gujarat (8.2 percent), and West Bengal (7.5 percent). Notably, states such as Karnataka (6.2 percent), Rajasthan (5.5 percent), Andhra Pradesh (4.9 percent), and Madhya Pradesh (4.6 percent) lag significantly behind Uttar Pradesh.

Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed rapid progress across various sectors in the past seven years. The state has achieved zero organized crime, substantial strides in industrial development, and a notable ascent from the 14th to the second position in the 'Ease of Doing Business' rankings.

Furthermore, improvements in law and order, connectivity, and infrastructure have attracted investment proposals exceeding Rs 40 lakh crore through GIS 2023, promising the creation of over one crore employment opportunities. Presently, the state is exporting goods worth nearly Rs 2 lakh crore, and the loan-deposit ratio of banks has increased from 42-43 percent to 56 percent, with efforts underway to further elevate it to 60 percent.

Uttar Pradesh has transformed into a revenue surplus state, with 56 percent of its population employed, and the establishment of approximately 96 lakh MSME units. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's strategic leadership has propelled Uttar Pradesh from its BIMARU state status to the forefront of development, positioning the state not only as the growth engine of the country but also as a crucial contributor to the goal of achieving a $1 trillion economy.
