Election Commission meeting on Delhi elections, know when elections to be held
Delhi Assembly Elections Date: As by the information Assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi in February. Regarding its preparations, the Election Commission held a meeting with the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi and district officials on Thursday. In this meeting, the voter list amendment campaign and preparations related to the election were reviewed.

According to reports, elections in Delhi can be held in the first or second week of February. While official statement of election commission has been not coming till now. At the same time, politics continues on the deletion of voters' names in Delhi.
Kejriwal letter to Chief Election Commissioner
In the meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party's National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. In which he complained that the names of voters in Delhi have been deleted as part of a conspiracy. In his letter, Kejriwal also mentioned the assurances given to the AAP delegation
BJP applied for deletion of voters' names
Meanwhile earlier, the AAP party had claimed that "24 BJP workers in Janakpuri sought deletion of 4,874 votes, and 15 BJP party workers in Tughlakabad sought deletion of 2,435 votes, however two persons applied for deletion of 554 votes. This means they attempted to delete 40 per cent votes from a single booth.

Election Commission had given assurances
Among the assurances given by the Election Commission to the AAP are, first, there will be no mass deletion before the elections. Second, anyone seeking deletion of votes will now have to fill Form 7. Before any vote is deleted, a field investigation will be conducted by the Booth Level Officer (BLO) along with representatives of other political parties."
