'Rahul Gandhi is spreading lies', BJP complained to EC against Congress leader

BJP has complained to Election Commission against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for lying in public meetings during election rallies in Maharashtra and defaming BJP.

Voting is to be held on 20 November for 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, BJP has complained to Election Commission against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for lying in public meetings during election rallies in Maharashtra and defaming BJP by making baseless allegations.

Though BJP alleged that Rahul Gandhi has been making baseless allegations against BJP in election rallies. He is repeatedly attacking BJP for ending the Constitution which is completely baseless.

BJP reached to Election Commission against Rahul

The Union Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal has said that BJP delegation met Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and told him that Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi once again lied during Maharashtra elections on 6 November.

Congress leader tried to pit the states against each other. He tore apart the Constitution. He made false and baseless allegations and said that the BJP is going to destroy the Constitution. His statement is a lie.

Demanded action on Congress leader

Arjun Ram Meghwal said that we have told the Election Commission that this should be stopped. We also told the Commission that Rahul Gandhi is used to doing this.

Despite warnings and notices, Congress leader is not refraining from doing so. We said that an FIR should be registered against Rahul Gandhi under Section 353 of the BNS.

Congress delegation meets ECI in Delhi

In the meanwhile, the Congress delegation has also reached out to the Election Commission in New Delhi. While Congress party alleged that 'serious concerns have been raised before the Election Commission and eight complaints have been lodged.

All these complaints were found to be valid, some of which were particularly serious. The Commission has ordered the registration of an FIR against the BJP over some advertisements. Acknowledging these incidents, the Commission has acknowledged a pattern of divisive tactics by the BJP and has agreed to take action.'

Let us tell you that voting for 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra will be held on November 20 and the results will be declared on November 23. In the last election, BJP got 105 seats, Shiv Sena 56, NCP 54 and Congress 44 seats.

However, after the election, Shiv Sena broke away from NDA and formed the government with NCP-Congress. And Uddhav Thackeray became the CM of Maharashtra.
