The 8th Pay Commission is the committee which takes decisions related to the salary, allowances and other financial benefits of government employees. Although this announcement is a good for more than 1 crore employees and pensioners of the nation. How many employees and pensioners may get the benefit of the formation of the 8th Pay Commission? The formation of the 8th Pay Commission is going to benefit lakhs of government employees and pensioners of the country. 50 lakh central government employees: In this, different ministries, departments and Central Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) of the Central Government are going to get the benefit of this. Their total number is 49.18 lakh (about 50 lakh) employees. Defense employees: The salary and allowances of the army and defense employees, which include members of the Army, Navy and Air Force, will see an increase. 65 lakh pensioners: Government pensioners, whose number will be 64.89 lakh (about 65 lakh) pensioners, also include retired employees who have retired from different government departments.
