Noida International Airport Jewar inauguration by PM Narendra Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the first phase of the Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. This is the second major international airport in Delhi-NCR, which will help reduce the increasing burden on the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Prime Minister Modi inspected the airport's terminal building. The inauguration ceremony took place around 12:20 PM, following which he addressed a public gathering. In this phase, the airport will be capable of handling 12 million (1.2 crore) passengers annually. In the future, it will be further expanded.

The Prime Minister noted that this region is now also emerging as a crucial hub for two of the country's major freight corridors. These corridors have significantly improved North India's connectivity with the coastal regions of Bengal and Gujarat.Dadri is the specific location where these two corridors intersect.

He stated that this development would yield immense benefits for both farmers and industries. Agricultural produce grown here, as well as industrial goods manufactured locally, can now reach global markets rapidly via land, rail, and air routes.

Narendra Modi remarked that, even during these challenging times, India has not allowed the pace of its development to falter. He highlighted that, in just the last few weeks, the foundation stones for—and the inauguration of—several major projects have taken place across Western Uttar Pradesh.

He pointed out that the foundation for a major semiconductor manufacturing facility was laid in Noida; the Delhi-Meerut 'Namo Bharat' train project has gained momentum; the Meerut Metro network has been expanded; and now, the Noida International Airport has been inaugurated. He cited this as a prime example of the development model championed by the "Double Engine Government."

The Prime Minister concluded by stating that, collectively, all these projects are propelling Uttar Pradesh to new heights of progress. The semiconductor factory is making the nation self-reliant in technology, the Metro and Namo Bharat trains are providing enhanced connectivity, and the Jewar Airport will serve to connect the entire North India with the rest of the world.

He stated that, in the future, this airport will expand to such a magnitude that an aircraft will take off from here every two minutes—a testament to its immense capacity and significance.

Taking aim at the opposition, Prime Minister Modi remarked that previous governments had turned Noida into an "ATM for looting," whereas today, that very same Noida is emerging as the engine of Uttar Pradesh's development.

Yogi Adityanath observed that Uttar Pradesh was once perceived as an impediment to development; however, thanks to the "Double Engine Government," the state has now accelerated its pace of growth and forged a distinct new identity for itself.

Yogi Adityanath noted that the foundation stone for this airport was laid on November 25, 2021, and its first phase is now being inaugurated. He asserted that the rapid realization of this project on the ground is a direct result of the "Double Engine speed."

He expressed confidence that this airport would not only enhance connectivity but also generate new opportunities for employment, investment, and development.

Yogi Adityanath commenced his address with chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and hailed the inauguration of the Noida International Airport as a historic milestone. He stated that, under the guidance and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is witnessing the emergence of a "New India."

He remarked that this occasion serves as an opportunity to express deep gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister, as it is under his leadership that the 250 million people of Uttar Pradesh have received such a magnificent gift. Yogi Adityanath affirmed that, through the Jewar Airport, Uttar Pradesh's journey of progress will soar to unprecedented heights.

He acknowledged that the current global and domestic landscape is fraught with challenges—characterized by an atmosphere of disorder and instability in various regions, coupled with a relentless rise in the prices of petroleum products. However, in India, the situation remains under control, thanks to the visionary policies of Prime Minister Modi.

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu stated that the Jewar Airport is not merely an airport; rather, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, it represents a harmonious confluence of development and heritage. He stated that this project would not be limited merely to air services but would be developed as an aerotropolis.

Speaking of the airport's key features, an investment of approximately ₹11,200 crore has been made in the first phase. A modern terminal, spanning an area of 138,000 square meters, has been constructed at the site. Additionally, an Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower, standing approximately 38 meters tall, has also been built. The airport has been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure an enhanced experience for passengers.
