'Close Toll Booths In Delhi: During the hearing on the issue of pollution control in Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court asked the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to consider shifting nine toll collection booths.

During the hearing, the court also suggested shifting these toll collection booths to the area controlled by NHAI to alleviate traffic congestion. The court said that the toll collection could be shared between the two agencies.

Considering the increasing pollution problem in Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court gave an important suggestion to shift the toll booths and take a decision on this within a week. The court also asked NHAI to consider collecting tolls and sharing a portion with the MCD as an alternative.
Government made 50 percent work from home mandatory
During the hearing, the court was apprised of the problems that are a major cause of pollution in Delhi-NCR. This includes the MCD toll plaza between Delhi and Gurugram. The court was told that this toll plaza causes hours-long traffic jams.
