Indian Coast Guard Conducts Major Marine Pollution Response Drill at Jakhau

Indian Coast Guard Station Jakhau conducted a pollution response seminar, exercise, and mock drill to test preparedness for marine pollution incidents along the Kutch coast.

Indian Coast Guard Station Jakhau conducted a comprehensive Pollution Response Seminar, Table-Top Exercise and Mock Drill at Jakhau on March 10 with participation of multiple maritime and government agencies.

Officials said the exercise saw participation from the Port Authority, Local Administration, Fisheries Department, Border Security Force and Indian Air Force, along with other maritime stakeholders.

The event focused on testing and validating the preparedness of all stakeholders to effectively respond to marine pollution incidents along the Kutch Coast.

 

Officials said the exercise helped strengthen coordination and operational readiness among various agencies involved in maritime safety and environmental protection.

The drill also aimed to enhance inter agency synergy and ensure a coordinated response mechanism during marine pollution emergencies in the coastal region.

 

 

The Indian Coast Guard reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the seas and preserving the marine environment through regular preparedness exercises and collaborative efforts with partner agencies.
