Lawrence School, Sanawar Legacy
The evening was graced by prominent military leaders and special guests. The Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, attended as the Chief Guest. The panel featured three eminent Old Sanawarians: Admiral Vishnu Bhagwat, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), former Chief of Naval Staff; Air Marshal K.C. Cariappa, PVSM, VM (Retd); and General Gaurav SJB Rana, Sukirtimaya Rastradeep (Retd), former Chief of the Nepalese Army.
Adding further distinction to the occasion, Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and an Old Sanawarian, joined the Ceremony despite a demanding schedule. He interacted warmly with students and guests, underscoring the enduring bond between the institution and its accomplished alumni.

The programme commenced with the arrival of guests and refreshments, followed by a formal opening and the National Anthem. This was followed by a series of insightful addresses by the panellists, who reflected on the school’s historic role in shaping leaders, particularly within the armed forces.

Military Heritage ‘1847–2025’
A comprehensive introduction to the coffee table book project was presented, accompanied by a visual showcase and curated readings from the publication.
