Dolly Chawla on Tum Se Tum Tak: “Playing Meera Was My Toughest Role Yet”
TV actress Dolly Chawla opens up about playing the complex and possessive character of Meera in Zee TV's new show Tum Se Tum Tak. She shares why this role is so different from her real self — and why that makes it so thrilling.
Popular TV actress Dolly Chawla is currently seen in Zee TV’s latest drama Tum Se Tum Tak. The actress plays Meera, a woman who's deeply loyal to her boss Arya, but also extremely possessive. While Meera takes care of everything for Arya — from his office to his meals and even his medication — she cannot tolerate anyone else getting close to him, especially the new entrant, Anu (played by Niharica Chouksey). She is very obsessive and controlling, which is completely opposite to who I am in real life. That’s what makes playing her so tough, yet exciting." She admitted that it took her time to get into Meera’s headspace. “Every role should challenge you. If it doesn’t, where’s the fun? Meera is emotionally intense, and I had to work hard to bring out that side convincingly,” she added.
