Eminent Hindi writer Vinod Kumar Shukla passes away, breathed his last at AIIMS Raipur

Vinod Kumar Shukla was awarded the Jnanpith Award, the highest honor in Hindi literature. Born in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Shukla had been ill for several days and was admitted to AIIMS Raipur.

Renowned Hindi poet and storyteller Vinod Kumar Shukla passed away at AIIMS in Raipur. Shukla was born in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. He was 89 years old and had been unwell for quite some time, after which he was admitted to AIIMS Raipur. After several days of treatment, he passed away today. Several Injured Vinod Kumar Shukla was born on January 1, 1937, in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, but lived in Raipur, the state capital. He had been writing for about 50 years. Shukla completed his higher education from Jabalpur Agricultural University. While working as a professor, he dedicated his life to literary creation.

'Lagbhag Jaihind' - First poetry collection

Vinod Kumar Shukla's first poetry collection, Lagbhag Jaihind, was published in 1971. His brilliant writing carved a unique place for him in the literary world. Shukla's writing has been praised not only in India but also abroad. He had an equal interest in both poetry and prose. He has also received awards such as the Mathrubhumi Book of the Year Award and the PEN America Nabokov Award.
