Bhumi Satish Pednekkar Starrer Daldal Season 2 on Cards? Creator Suresh Triveni Reveals

Bhumi Satish Pednekkar starrer Daldal has emerged as a global success as it continues to top the charts worldwide. Amid the excellent response, Daldal creator Suresh Triveni is hopeful of its second season, revealing that the team has worked out ideas to take the story forward. "We are ready to go for it. The writers have given three to four years working on the show, and they're raring to go," says Triveni.

Though the psychological crime thriller ends with Bhumi Pednekkar's DCP Rita Ferreira solving the murder case, her traumatic backstory and its effects are left open-ended. Opening up about the ways of taking it forward, Suresh Triveni adds, "We have a couple of ideas. Also, I'm taking all the feedback from season one. We will take the right decision if everything falls in place."

From Suresh Triveni's availability to the streamers' vision, producer Vikram Malhotra mentioned that a lot of factors will decide the way ahead for Daldal's second season. "The story lends itself to a second season," he says and adds, "A lot of ducks need to get in a row for the show's subsequent season - Suresh's availability, the right story, and Amazon Prime Video's desire to go ahead. We'd love to continue the story."

Daldal continues to receive immense love and appreciation from the audiences, especially after seeing Bhumi Pednekkar's return to the intense genre, a space that her admirers were keen to see her in. As DCP Rita Ferreira, Bhumi stepped into the shoes of a cop for the first time and proved to be a perfect fit to pull off the restraint and stillness of Rita's nature.
