Mumbai: Actress Chahatt Khanna is speaking candidly about redefining strength and self-worth by choosing peace over perfection. In a heartfelt reflection on healing and mental well-being, the actor shares how stepping away from constant expectations has been one of the most powerful decisions of her life.

“There was a time when being strong meant holding everything together, even when I was breaking inside,” says Chahatt. “Today, strength means listening to myself and choosing peace—even if it means disappointing others.”

Addressing the invisible emotional pressure women carry, Chahatt points out how society normalises exhaustion in the name of being ‘perfect’. “Women are expected to be everything—great mothers, partners, professionals—without ever admitting they’re tired. But perfection is exhausting. Peace is freeing,” she adds.

The actress believes healing truly begins when one stops performing for the world and starts being honest with themselves. “Perfection demands performance, but peace demands honesty. The moment I stopped trying to look okay and started trying to be okay, everything changed,” she shares.

Chahatt also opens up about self-worth and the belief that love must be earned through sacrifice. “You don’t need to be perfect to be worthy. You don’t need approval to feel enough. Self-worth is something you remember, not something you earn,” she says.

For her, choosing peace has meant setting boundaries, walking away from spaces that felt draining, and allowing herself to rest without guilt. “Healing isn’t pretty. It’s messy and emotional, but it’s real. It’s not about becoming someone new—it’s about becoming yourself again,” Chahatt explains.

With her honest words, Chahatt Khanna is encouraging women to prioritise their mental well-being without shame. “Choosing peace isn’t giving up,” she concludes. “It’s choosing yourself. And every woman deserves a life that feels safe, kind, and calm.”
