Ektaa Kapoor Announces Bhooth Bangla Release Date, Akshay Kumar Priyadarshan Reunite

Producer Ektaa Kapoor has positioned her upcoming film Bhooth Bangla for a theatrical release on April 10, weeks after the March releases of Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic.

The film stars Akshay Kumar and is directed by Priyadarshan. It marks their reunion after 14 years.

Kapoor said the film is aimed at offering family audiences a horror comedy option during the holiday period. The project draws on Priyadarshan’s established style of comedy filmmaking.

The cast also includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani in a posthumous appearance.

Kapoor indicated that Bhooth Bangla could develop into a franchise depending on its box office performance. There has been no official confirmation regarding a sequel.

The film is positioned as a holiday release in the horror comedy genre.
