In Noida, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh has suspended the Station In-charge of Phase-2 Police Station and a constable from the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) for negligence in the discharge of their duties. A review of the law and order situation was conducted during a meeting, wherein serious lapses on the part of these officials came to light.
The Commissioner issued directives to intensify police patrolling and to take concrete measures to bring crimes under control.

This disciplinary action was taken during a crime review meeting held at the Police Commissioner's office located in Sector-108. The Police Commissioner had convened this meeting with the specific objective of further strengthening law and order within the district and establishing effective control over criminal activities.
Senior officials from all zones—including Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police (ADCPs), Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), and the In-charges of various police stations—were present at the meeting. During the session, a detailed review was conducted regarding the crimes committed within the district, the status of their resolution, and the overall functioning of the police force.
During a review, serious negligence was uncovered in the conduct of certain officials
Upon finding negligence in his duties, the Police Commissioner suspended Awadhesh Singh, the Station In-charge of Phase-2 Police Station. It is reported that he failed to provide timely, accurate, and adequate information to senior police officials regarding a strike by employees.
Furthermore, Laxmi Singh displayed laxity in handling the matter, despite employees of the company and factory having previously registered their protests.
Meanwhile, the work performance of LIU Constable Prateek Kumar was also deemed unsatisfactory; consequently, the Police Commissioner issued orders for his suspension as well.
During the meeting, the Police Commissioner explicitly stated that no form of negligence regarding law and order would be tolerated. He directed all Station In-charges to intensify patrolling within their respective jurisdictions, maintain a strict vigil on criminals, and ensure the expeditious resolution of pending cases.
Additionally, she emphasized the need to prioritize public grievances, listen to them attentively, and ensure their effective redressal. The Commissioner further asserted that police operations must be transparent and accountable.
Put an End to the "Thak-Thak" Gang's Crimes at All Costs
The Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh also expressed strong displeasure regarding the persistent incidents of laptop thefts—perpetrated by smashing car windows—occurring across the district. She directed the formation of special teams in the police station areas where the "Thak-Thak" gang is active, with the mandate to curb these criminal activities.
The meeting also featured discussions on emerging crime trends, particularly cyber fraud and vehicle theft. The Police Commissioner emphasized that technology must be leveraged to its fullest potential to ensure the identification and apprehension of criminals. To this end, he called for enhanced utilization of CCTV surveillance, technical surveillance, and intelligence gathering.
The Commissioner Laxmi Singh warned that if negligence on the part of any officer or employee comes to light in the future, strict action will be taken against them.
