"Rich people have problem with you," a woman sitting cross-legged at Taj Hotel sparked controversy

Taj Hotel Controversy:  A video of a woman is currently going viral on social media. In the video, the woman claims that she arrived at the Taj Hotel for dinner and the manager objected to her seating and attire. Expressing her displeasure with the hotel's attitude, the woman took a video sitting there and shared it on the social media platform X.

"Rich people have problem with you”

A video has been shared on the social media platform X from the handle @SharmaShradha. A lengthy caption is also written along with this video. The caption reads, "An ordinary person who works hard, earns his own money, and comes to the Taj Hotel with his dignity intact—still faces humiliation and insult in this country. And what's my fault? Just that I sat in a "regular padmasana" style? Is it my fault that the Taj is teaching me how to sit and what to do?"

The woman claimed that the manager told her that this is a fine dining place. Very wealthy people come here. Therefore, you should sit properly. That is, sit with your feet down and wear closed shoes or footwear.

The woman then pointed to her feet and said, "I wear Kolhapuri slippers. What's the problem with that? I bought them with my own hard work, wore them, and came here. I work very hard and spent my own money to come here.

In such a situation, to tell me that people have a problem with my slippers or the way I sit?" Because they are very wealthy people and our manners don't match their culture and class. How far is this justified?

Objection expressed to the manager's attitude

Why am I being told this? I work very hard and that's why I'm here. I'm paying for it. How can I be a problem for anyone? I'm wearing a proper salwar kameez. I'm dressed appropriately. Why should anyone have a problem with this? What problem could there be? Yet, the manager of the Taj Hotel says, "People have a problem with you."
