Realme 16 5G India Launch on April 2: Expected Price, Specs

Realme is set to launch the Realme 16 5G in India on April 2, expanding its Realme 16 series lineup.

The smartphone has already debuted in select global markets earlier this year and is expected to bring similar specifications to the Indian variant.

Expected Price in India

According to market leaks, the Realme 16 5G is likely to be priced above Rs 30,000. The base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected to be priced at Rs 31,999, while the 8GB + 256GB model may cost Rs 33,999. The top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could be priced at Rs 36,999.

Key Features and Specifications

The Realme 16 5G is being positioned as India’s first “Selfie Mirror Phone,” featuring an integrated mirror within the rear camera module to help users frame selfies using the main camera.

The device is expected to come with dual 50MP portrait cameras, including a 50MP Sony IMX852 rear sensor, along with a 50MP front camera.

It will sport a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset and runs on Android 16.

The handset packs a 7,000mAh battery with 60W fast charging support and is claimed to offer extended battery life along with long-term battery health.

The device is also expected to carry an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance and feature a slim profile of 8.1 mm thickness with a weight of 183 grams.

The design includes a horizontal camera bar with a glass finish, and the phone will be available in Air White and Air Black colour options.

The Realme 16 5G is part of a broader wave of smartphone launches in India this month across segments.
