Now, CM Nitish himself has issued a statement addressing these speculations. He has clarified that he will now join the Rajya Sabha. He has announced his resignation through a social media post.

He shared this information through a social media post. Nitish Kumar stated that it has been his long-standing desire to become a member of both the state and Parliament houses.

Nitish Kumar wrote that since the beginning of his parliamentary career, he had a desire to become a member of both houses of the Bihar Legislature and Parliament. Consequently, he aspires to become a Rajya Sabha member in this election. He will support the new government of Bihar.

Nitish Kumar made the announcement in a social media post

Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Bihar, Nitish Kumar wrote in a social media post that for more than two decades, you have consistently maintained your trust and support, and it is because of this that we have served Bihar and all of you with complete loyalty. It is because of your trust and support that Bihar is today presenting a new dimension of development and respect. I have expressed my gratitude to you many times in the past.

Nitish said, "I want to assure you with all sincerity that this relationship with you will continue in the future, and my commitment to working together with you to build a developed Bihar will remain unwavering. I will provide my full support and guidance to the new government that will be formed."

Crowd of supporters outside the CM House

Speculation surrounding Nitish Kumar had been rife since Tuesday. However, these speculations intensified on Wednesday evening. As soon as the news broke, Nitish supporters began gathering outside the CM House. During this period, altercations with the police were also witnessed. Nitish's supporters also raised slogans.
