West Bengal Assembly Election 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a list of 40 'star campaigners' for the West Bengal Assembly elections, featuring prominent leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Yogi Adityanath. PM Modi kicked off the campaign trail by addressing an election rally in Cooch Behar, where he launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee government and asserted that the BJP would form the next government in the state.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has released its list of star campaigners for the West Bengal Assembly elections. The list of 40 campaigners includes the names of PM Narendra Modi, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, among others. It is worth noting that voting in Bengal is scheduled to take place in two phases, on April 23 and April 29. The election results will be declared on May 4; however, ahead of that date, election campaigning in the state has intensified.

On Sunday, PM Modi kicked off the election campaign by addressing a rally in Cooch Behar. During the rally, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the state's Mamata Banerjee-led government, asserting that a change is imminent in the state and that the BJP will form the government in Bengal.

The BJP has included PM Narendra Modi, Nitin Nabin, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda, Dharmendra Pradhan, Mithun Chakraborty, Leander Adrian Paes, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Yogi Adityanath, Rekha Gupta, Devendra Fadnavis, Mohan Charan Majhi, Manik Saha, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Smriti Irani in its list of star campaigners for the Bengal elections.
