Delhi Elections: President, Rahul Gandhi & Atishi cast their votes; 8.10% voting till 9 am
Grand festival of elections in Delhi, while voting for 70 assembly seats in Delhi has started at 7 am.
Voting for 70 assembly seats in Delhi
Voting is going on for 70 seats of Delhi Assembly from 7 am on Wednesday. President Draupadi Murmu, Delhi LG VK Saxena, Rahul Gandhi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi have cast their votes. 8.10% voting has been done till 9 am. 1.56 crore people will be able to vote in Delhi till 6 pm. About 13 thousand polling stations have been set up for this. 5 parties which were part of INDIA block in the Lok Sabha elections are contesting against each other in Delhi elections. Among them, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress are face to face on all 70 seats. On the other hand, Communist Party of India (CPI) has fielded its candidates on 6 seats, Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) and Communist Party of India-Marxist Leninist (CPI-ML) have fielded their candidates on 2 seats each.BJP has fielded candidates on 68 assembly seats in Delhi elections
BJP has fielded candidates on 68 seats. Two seats have been given to alliance parties. In this, Janata Dal-United (JDU) has fielded candidates from Burari and Lok Janshakti Party- Ramvilas (LJP-R) from Deoli seat. In Maharashtra, BJP's ally Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is contesting on 30 seats. Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has supported BJP on all seats.BSP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is also taking part in Delhi elections
Apart from this, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is contesting on 70 seats and Asaduddin Owaisi's All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is contesting on 02 seats. The election results will come on 8 February.Atishi said - People of Delhi will make the hardworking and honest people win
Atishi said that this is not just an election, it is a religious war. This is a fight between truth and untruth. People of Delhi will make the hardworking and honest people win and defeat evil. Delhi Police can do anything. They are openly working for BJP. BJP is scaring voters. Bansuri Swaraj said- Lotus will bloom in Delhi on 8th February
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj said that today is the festival of democracy in Delhi.
