Delhi Assembly Election: Schools & offices closed, long queues of voters outside polling stations

Delhi assembly election 2025 Voting: Today the capital is fully prepared for the Delhi Assembly elections. Voting has started at 7 am on all 70 seats of Delhi. Voting will continue till 6 pm. During this time, more than 1.5 crore voters of Delhi will exercise their franchise. After voting, the fate of about 700 candidates will be sealed in EVMs. The election results will be announced on Saturday, February 8.

While more than 1.5 crore voters of Delhi are going to cast their vote today and elect a new government in the capital. This time there is a direct contest between Aam Aadmi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress in the elections.

Voting for the Delhi Assembly elections

This time the election is said to be a direct contest between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, Congress also seems to be finding its ground in this election. Now, only on 8th February it will be known who the people of Delhi have blessed. Voting will be held at 13,766 polling booths in all 70 assembly constituencies, in which the electoral fate of 699 candidates will be decided.

In this election, the issues of polluted water in Yamuna, corruption and bad roads were the most discussed.

Let us tell you that if Aam Aadmi Party wins this election, then it will return to power for the third consecutive time. On the other hand, if we talk about BJP and Congress, then they will also try to return to power by winning this election. BJP has been out of power in Delhi for more than 25 years, while Congress has been out of power since 2013.
