India Opens Salal Dam Gates, Flooding Threatens Pakistan After Air Strikes

After the Pahalgam terror attack and India's retaliatory Operation Sindoor, India put another pressure on Pakistan. This time, under Jal Prahar, many gates of the Salal Dam built on the Chenab River were opened. Due to this, flood-like conditions have been created in many parts of Pakistan.

This step is being seen as a further strengthening of diplomatic and military pressure. A video has surfaced. This video has been released by news agency ANI. It is seen in this that the flow of water is very high.

India and Pakistan signed a treaty in 1960 for the sharing of water of Indus, Jhelum and Chenab. India has suspended the decades-old Indus Water Treaty after the killing of 26 Indians in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.

Pakistan violated ceasefire

Just 3 hours after the ceasefire came into effect at 5 pm on Saturday, Pakistan violated it. It carried out drone attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Punjab, which were foiled by the Indian Army. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri told in a press conference at 11 pm that Pakistan tried to enter the Indian border. Shelling and drone attacks were carried out in Rajouri, Poonch, Nowshera, Srinagar, Udhampur, Akhnoor and some other areas. Due to this, there was a blackout in the border districts throughout the night.
