After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government called a high-level meeting to formulate a strategy against Pakistan. This meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was attended by Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other senior officials. PM Modi gave free hand to the army
Earlier in the high-level meeting held on Tuesday, PM Modi had said that it is our firm national resolve to give a befitting reply to terrorism. While discussing with the military leadership the options for taking action in the context of the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

The Prime Minister Modi said that the armed forces have the freedom to take operational decisions on what should be the method of our retaliation, what should be its targets and what should be its timing.
