Republic Day 2025: When Gujarat's tableau passed on 'Kartavya Path', PM kept looking at it

The tableau included a glimpse of culture and heritage along with the development of Gujarat.

Republic Day 2025: On the 76th Republic Day, Gujarat's tableau once again captivated everyone. When the tableau passed through Kartavya Path, Prime Minister Narendra Modi kept looking at it. This time PM Modi's birthplace Vadnagar was depicted in Gujarat's tableau. The tableau included a glimpse of culture and heritage along with the development of Gujarat.

Atal Bridge built on Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad got a place in Gujarat's tableau. At the same time, it was also indicated how Krishna Nagari Dwarka is going to develop in future. Last year, Odisha received the award for the best tableau while Gujarat's tableau secured the first position in the People's Choice category.

Features of Gujarat's tableau

The front part of Gujarat's tableau featured the 12th century 'Kirti Toran', the cultural gateway of Gujarat, built in the Solanki period in Vadnagar, and finally the 21st century pride, the 182-meter-high statue of Sardar Patel, the 'Statue of Unity', which is the world's tallest statue.

On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda ji, a series of Pithora paintings depicting Gujarat's 'tribal pride', and the 'Atal Bridge' connecting both banks of the Sabarmati Riverfront as a symbol of the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Vajpayee ji were present.

Kutchi artifacts made of clay and glass along with the activities of 'under water sports' taking shape at Dwarka and Shivrajpur Beach are adding to the beauty of the tableau.

In the rear of the tableau, a replica of the Indian Air Force's C-295 aircraft being manufactured by Tata Advanced Systems Limited in Vadodara, one of the projects of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' in the defense-technology sector, was installed.

To make this tableau of Gujarat more attractive, the state's passionate Maniyara Raas was presented as a live dance along with traditional but modern couplets.

What was there in Gujarat's tableau?

In Gujarat's tableau, the state's cultural heritage was displayed in the form of 'Kirti Toran' of 12th century Vadnagar i.e. Anartpur to the 21st century 'Statue of Unity', as well as the state's 'self-reliance' in the field of defense, technology, automobile and manufacturing.
