'If Eknath does not become Deputy CM, then no one will… Shinde name not in swearing-in invitation

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Oath Ceremony:  The BJP Legislature Party leader Devendra Fadnavis will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra at a grand ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on today evening.

According to media inputs Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde are also likely to take oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. This is the third time that Nagpur MLA Fadnavis will take oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Though Oath taking ceremony is going to be held at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai, even elaborate security arrangements have been also made.

BJP leader Prasad Lad had earlier said that the swearing-in ceremony will be a grand affair with around 42,000 people attending. He had said that Prime Minister Modi, several Union ministers and chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of various states will attend the ceremony.

He had said that special seating arrangements have been made for 40,000 BJP supporters and separate seating arrangements have been made for 2,000 dignitaries, including leaders of various religions. Meanwhile a security official said that more than 4,000 policemen have been deployed for the swearing-in ceremony.

But in the meantime, Eknath Shinde name not in swearing-in invitation card, started another controversy in this swearing in ceremony in Maharashtra.

If not Shinde, then no one from the party - Shiv Sena

A statement has come from the Shinde faction on the Maharashtra government. Party leader Uday Samant said that if not Shinde, then no one from Shiv Sena. If Eknath Shinde does not accept the post of Deputy CM, then no Shiv Sena MLA will accept any responsibility in the new government.

While a Shiv Sena leaders said that we have requested Shinde to accept the post of Deputy CM, we hope that he will listen to us.

Controversy over invitation card for swearing-in ceremony

There has been a controversy over the invitation card for the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister in Maharashtra. However, Eknath Shinde name is not mentioned in this invitation card, only the name of Devendra Fadnavis is there.
