Before leaving Syria, Assad gave intelligence to Israel, shocking revelation in report
Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad handed over intelligence information of Syrian military bases to Israel before leaving the country and rebels capturing the capital Damascus, so that he and his family could leave the country safely. According to Turkish media reports, Assad allegedly handed over information about the weapons depots to Israel.
After this Israel bombed them
These reports show how Israel got the exact location of each weapons depot and major military facilities. The report states that Assad feared that his plane could be targeted by Israeli fighter jets. However, he wanted to get out of Syria safely. At the same time, Israel has been continuously bombing Syrian military posts since December 8, after Assad left the country.
Intelligence given to Israel
Meanwhile Abdul Kadir Selvi, a journalist for Turkish newspaper Hurriyat, quoted sources and claimed that Assad gave a list of intelligence related to weapons depots, missile systems and fighter jets to Israel, so that his plane would not be targeted.
At the same time, Israel started air strikes on Syrian military bases just after the fall of Assad's government. This led Selvi to conclude that his sources were correct. Selvi also revealed that he received other information about Assad's departure that "specifically relate to Israel's role", but he has not shared much information about it.
As a result, Assad had to flee to Russia by helicopter, where Russian President Vladimir Putin offered him asylum. The information shared with Hurriyat was reported by UK-based tabloid The Sun.

Meanwhile at the same time, Israel says, this is necessary to prevent weapons in Syria from falling into the hands of "extremist forces". The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) even said that Israel attacked a weapons base in Tartus in northwestern Syria.

SOHR said in the discussion that the intensity of this explosion was similar to a 3.0 magnitude earthquake. Israel also carried out attacks with warplanes across Syria. However, Syria's new leader Ahmed al-Shara has not adopted a confrontational stance with Israel.

On the other hand, Assad, speaking for the first time after fleeing Syria, said that when he reached Khmeimim airbase in the morning, it became clear that our forces had completely withdrawn from all battle lines and the army's last position had also fallen.
