Abhishek Nair's homecoming, joined KKR team again in IPL, once sacked by BCCI

Abhishek Nair has returned home. Nair has again joined IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. He was given the post of assistant coach in Team India 9 months ago but recently Nair was sacked by BCCI. After which Abhishek has joined KKR again. Two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders has warmly welcomed Abhishek Nair.

The IPL franchise has given the news of Nair's homecoming on social media.

KKR has won 3 out of 7 matches in this IPL. He is currently at sixth place in the points table with 6 points. Kolkata Knight Riders shared a photo of Abhishek Nayar in KKR jersey on social media on Saturday evening. KKR tagged Abhishek Nayar on its official Twitter handle (now X) and wrote, 'Welcome back home.'

41-year-old Abhishek Nayar became the assistant coach of the Indian cricket team in July 2024. He was recently reportedly sacked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Abhishek Nayar was with KKR since 2018

Abhishek Nayar will be with the Kolkata Knight Riders team ahead of the match against Gujarat Titans at Eden Gardens on April 21. Nayar has had a long association with KKR. He has been a part of this franchise since 2018. He has served as the head of the KKR Academy.
