31st National Convention of the National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) and Northern Railway Mazdoor Union (URMU) in Delhi.
Railway Workers: Delhi's Colonel Singh Stadium is resonating with the slogans and applause of railway workers these days. The 31st National Convention of the National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) and Northern Railway Mazdoor Union (URMU) is going on here, in which about 15 thousand railway workers from all over the country are participating. This convention will continue till tomorrow, 4 September. Shri Guman Singh, President NFIR: “Privatization of railways is fatal for both the employees and the public. This convention is giving the message of the strength of the employees.” Shri B.C. Sharma, General Secretary URMU: “Northern Railway Mazdoor Union has always raised the voice of the employees. Restoration of OPS and regularization of contract workers is our biggest priority.” Sakshi Malik: “This platform is a symbol of the strength and unity of the workers.
