Deva Box Office Collection Day 1: Shahid Kapoor's latest film Deva hit the theatres on Friday, but the action thriller failed to make a strong impact on its opening day. Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews, the film is said to be a remake of the 2013 Malayalam movie Mumbai Police, albeit with a different climax. The highest turnout was for the night shows, while Mumbai and the NCR had the maximum screenings—899 in Mumbai and 1,336 in the NCR. His highest-grossing theatrical release remains Padmaavat (Rs. 300 crore), which also starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. His last big-screen release, Jersey (2022), opened with Rs. 3.2 crore and had a lifetime collection of Rs. 30.75 crore worldwide, making it a box office flop. In 2023, he starred in the OTT film Bloody Daddy on Netflix.
